RST2 Compound Overview

The RST2 compound is a semi-metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. This compound has medium-high friction levels with a progressive torque that tapers at extreme temperatures. Initial bite is high and modulation is good. This is a common rear pad compound when combined with an RST1 front pad. Common applications include rally, stock car, or GT racing with lots of aero or where high temps are an issue.

- medium-high friction level (depending on operating temp) - excellent fade resistance - progressive torque that peaks at 400°C - higher pad and disc wear compared to RSL pads - very high initial bite
